It all began in the year 1966, when a small dream blossomed into a reality. The Chembur Karnataka Sangh, an association of the Kannadigas, registered as a charitable body under the Society’s Registration Act and the Bombay Public Trust Act, started the Chembur Karnataka High School.
Chembur Karnataka High School began in a humble way in a small place put with high hopes and boundless enthusiasm. Forty pupils, three teachers and two small sheds in a rickety garage for classrooms were all the school was in its nascent stage in 1966-67. The rapid growth of the school forced it to be shifted to the Natraj Building and its annex, but even this has proved inadequate. Hence the school later shifted to current premises at ‘Vidya Sagar’ Ghatla, where it grew in leaps and bounds over the years, and now stands tall as a renowned institution in the locality.
Today the school excellently imparts education to nearly 4000 students. Quality education is given a firm foundation through inculcation of moral values in the young minds. The eco-friendly spacious campus ensures that students learn their lessons amidst natural surroundings.
The school regularly, with the help of funding/guidance from charitable organizations and very supporting prominent individuals, has also taken significant strides in the way of providing the best of facilities to students.
Our Golden Jubilee celebrations was held on 1st April 2017 with a melodious journey titled “Yaadon Ki Baarat” at Shri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Auditorium.
We will be most grateful for all your contributory efforts as being an educational institution only such contributions can make our aims come true faster. We also request you not to just stop with financial contributions. We would be really privileged if you could also participate in our endeavors and help this Sangha to achieve greater goals.
